i could treat you better but i'm not that smart

 Dress - Dorothy Perkins
Coat - Urban Outfitters
Socks - Topshop
Shoes - New look
Bag - 2nd hand/Dad's old

I'm wearing my gingham dress again! At the moment this is the dress I could live in for weeks. The print, the colours, the shape all make it such an easy and effortless item to throw on and it still looks like I've made an effort. I also like how different it looks depending on which coat I wear, because paired with this blue duffel coat is definitely a different look than with my green army coat. I also like how it's finally been cold enough for it to be weather-appropriate for me to wear this blue coat.

The National Archives have nice little fountains and everything outside, that make me want to go and feed the ducks and swans there. I used to love doing that when I was wee and wish I still took the time to do fun little things like that. But apparently I'm too busy being an adult and staying inside the archives reading about revolutionary propaganda and what not. Feeding the birds would be more fun though, I think! But I still wouldn't feed the pigeons inside the bus station like some crazy lady sitting behind me did last week.

I need a dress like this, so i can wear everyday and never take off! ha! I love ducks but swans scare me. I think they are staring at me getting ready for an attack! Seriously!

ooo this is a super pretty photo place- I love how the neutral colors let your outfit shine. And what an outfit. I don't think I'd be strong enough to resist a gingham dress like that, and it looks so fun with the bright pop of blue. Also, you weren't kidding. It looks completely different when paired with the army jacket. I love pieces like that- infinite outfit ideas!

And you're a brave one with the ducks- I have an irrational fear of birds so I'd probably waving an umbrella at them if they tried to get some bread from me. I need to get it together.

And thank you for your super encouraging words about my book! I'm nervous and excited about it, so it's really nice to hear that someone believes in it :)

Yasmine M - thank you, lovely! and it's almost as having multiple dresses when you can change the way they look by changing a coat etc, hah:-) x

Gail J - thanks, doll! these are pretty much the only shoes i use in the winter, haha.. and i wish i actually lived somewhere this pretty:-) xx

Amy - thank you, hun! they aren't the worst-looking animal to have around:-) xx

Christina L - those are the best kind of dresses! and i do get where you're coming from, chick:-) swans can apparently be pretty aggressive, although i've never experienced anything like that myself. x

Jenna Opsahl - aw, thank you, sweetie! it's not the worst thing to read about, but the documents I've read mostly haven't been as interesting as you'd expect, haha! xx

Marlen - why, thank you, darling! and clothes that can be styled in so many different ways really are the best ones:-) haha, i can actually relate to that, even though i'm not actually afraid of birds, if they're flying too close to my head i might freak out. but i have no problem with water birds, haha:-) and you're more than welcome, i've got your back even if you stopped believing in it yourself for a while! :-) xx
